the one with 10 thoughts for the weekend: 2

  1. This verse has been resonating in me this past week – “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” Psalm 143:8
  2. We actually had to turn our heat on a few times this week because of this thing you call “fall,” and we are not thrilled about that in this family (we are summertime folk).
  3. Trey and I don’t shoot very much photography professionally anymore (since Eliza Jane was born), but I am doing a special portrait shoot for some friends this weekend and I’m pretty excited. Can’t wait to share.
  4. Last weekend, Eliza’s amber teething necklace (ordered from here) came in the mail, and this past week I could tell her pain was SO much better, and I am EXTREMELY thankful (only just starting to see a change in her nighttime sleep patterns, so I’m still over here being all sleep deprived and stuff).
  5. Trey has been doing some extra work for a local real estate agency, so his weekend is full of video editing. Boo.
  6. Thinking about doing another food post (I like food, especially snacks), this one being more “fall” themed. Interested?
  7. How is it that babies can wake up every 1-2 hours in a night and be in the best and most adorable moods the next morning? Whereas I’m over here chugging coffee and water to try and get rid of my pounding migraine… It baffles me.
  8. If you missed yesterday’s blog post about choosing joy in every season, you can catch up on it here.
  9. Trey was thinking about taking our Great Dane and beagle mountain biking with him tomorrow. However, being that this weekend is the start of hunting season for youth, I think we will be postponing that activity until later notice (so that our dogs don’t get shot).
  10. My 7-month-old tiny human is wearing 12 month and 12-18 month clothes. She’s so good at growing. I’m a proud mama.
